This tutorial will cover how to resize your photos using Irfan Viewer. Irfan is a popular image viewing program that is available for free download at Irfanview.com. This tutorial was written for Irfan version 3.95.
Resizing your photos before uploading to Cachelan is an important factor in uploading time. If you upload photos directly from your camera they are very large. This means that upload time is increased. However, if you resize your photos before uploading, it will not take nearly as long to upload them to Cachelan. Because most computer monitors have a resolution of no greater than 1600x1200 there is no need to display pictures at 3000x2000 (the standard picture size of a picture taken from a 6 megapixel digital camera).
